Lawsuit Filed Against 3 Men Who Last Saw Missing Student

The parents of an Indiana University student who went missing nearly two years ago have filed a lawsuit against three the young men who last saw their daughter, according to court documents.

The lawsuit was filed by the parents of Lauren Spierer against three former students – Mike Beth, Jay Rosenbaum and Corey Rossman – alleging that their negligence caused harm to their daughter.

Spierer disappeared almost two years ago in Bloomington, Indiana, after a night of drinking with the three men at a local bar and at their apartment.

According to the defendants, Spierer had been partying with them at Rosenbaum’s apartment in the hours before she went missing on the morning of June 3, 2011.

Rosenbaum claims that he attempted to persuade Spierer, who was visibly intoxicated, to sleep on his couch, but she refused and began the short walk back to her apartment, which was located in the same building.

The suit is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.
